Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The ladies here at SNUG are excited to announce that we are supporting the fight against breast cancer!

According to the American Cancer Society, Breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed among U.S. women (excluding skin cancers) with about 252,710 new cases expected to be diagnosed in 2017.Overall breast cancer death rates dropped 39 percent between 1989 and 2015, averting 322,600 breast cancer deaths during those 26 years.

Although these statistics may seem shocking and a bit scary, recent studies have shown that breast cancer has declined in recent years due to heightened awareness.

Ladies, exercise and a healthy balanced diet are just two simple preventatives we all can incorporate into our daily routine. As little as 30 minutes of exercise a day can lower your risk, help boost your immune system, & keep your weight in check. A diet that is rich in vegetables, fruit, poultry, fish, and low-fat dairy products has been shown to lower the risks of breast cancer. As much as I hate to say this, we may also want to limit our wine intake as well! So ladies, what preventatives are you taking to protect your tata’s? Have you had your up-to-date screening?

As you all may know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and for the ENTIRE month SNUG offering 20% OFF all shades of PINK in support of this wonderful cause. What shade of PINK will you be flaunting this month? Who will you be wearing PINK for?

SNUG would love to see your photos!
